- Next, we will head to the archaeological center of Pikillaqta, a pre-Inca site belonging to the Wari culture (40 min).
- We will continue our tour by visiting the Church of San Pedro Apóstol in Andahuaylillas, known as the "Sistine Chapel of America" for its beautiful murals and stunning Baroque architecture (approx. 1 h).
- Afterward, you can visit the Andean Rituals Museum, famous for its mummies with deformed skulls and pieces that reflect the beliefs and religious practices of ancestral cultures (optional).
- If time permits, we will stop in Oropesa to try its famous bread, baked in traditional ovens (optional).
- If time allows, we will also make a stop at the renowned chicharronerías in the town of Saylla to enjoy a highly regarded culinary experience, surrounded by beautiful Andean scenery (optional).

Is a tourist ticket necessary to enter the archaeological sites?
- Yes, you need either the Partial or General Tourist Ticket to enter Tipón and Pikillaqta. If you haven't purchased your ticket yet, you can acquire it with the guide's assistance at the first archaeological site you visit. The Church of Andahuaylillas has a separate entrance fee.
Is it necessary to acclimate before taking this tour?
- Although the altitude is lower than in other nearby sites, it is recommended to spend at least one day in Cusco to acclimate before participating in any tour.
- Tipón was a sacred site where water was revered as a purifying element, notable for its advanced system of channels and terraces designed by the Incas for efficient water management. These channels, still functional after more than 500 years, are among the finest examples of Inca hydraulic engineering.
- Pikillaqta was a city built by the Wari culture, which predated the Incas. This urban, administrative, and ceremonial center housed up to 10,000 inhabitants at its peak. It is one of the few pre-Inca ruins that can be visited near Cusco, offering a unique architecture distinct from Inca styles.
