Explore the jungle in its natural state by visiting Tambopata Lodge, in Puerto Maldonado, which opens its doors to ecotourism to spread the importance of living in harmony with nature.

Day 1:
• We pick you up from the airport or bus terminal.
• We take you to our office in Puerto Maldonado where you can leave your luggage in custody
and take only what is necessary.
• We take you to the community of Hell on a tourist transport (approx. 45 min).
• We sail a motorboat to the Tambopata Lodge (1 hr 30 min) and eat lunch during the trip.
• We arrive at the Tambopata Lodge, rest in our rooms and enjoy free time.
• In the afternoon we take a walk around the hostel to discover the flora and fauna that
surrounds us. We return at sunset.
• We enjoy dinner at the Lodge.
• You will have free time to see more of the Tambopata Lodge.
• We rest in our rooms.
Day 2:
• We start the day taking a boat ride (15 min) until we reach a parrot clay lick.
• We return to the Tambopata Lodge to have breakfast.
• We sail upstream for 2 hours to visit the community of Baltimore, where we will
have mud baths, fish in the river, meet people from the area and eat lunch.
• In the afternoon we return to the Lodge and spend free time connecting with
nature.
• We eat dinner.
• We sail the boat on the Tambopata River and look for caymans at night.
Day 3:
• We eat breakfast.
• We visit a family from the local community to learn about their day-to-day
lifestyle and learn about traditional agriculture.
• We have lunch.
• In the afternoon we take a boat ride and walk until we reach one of the lagoons
in the area, where we will board a catamaran and go for a ride.
• We will have the opportunity to practice piranha fishing.
• We go back to the Lodge and enjoy free time.
• We eat dinner.
• We rest until the next day.
Day 4:
• We eat breakfast.
• We say goodbye and return to the port in the community “Infierno”.
• We take you to our offices to collect the luggage you might have
left in custody.
• We take you to the airport.
• All land and river transportation since your arrival in Puerto
Maldonado.
• Expert bilingual guide throughout the service.
• Full meals (3 breakfasts, 3 lunches, 3 dinners).

• Puerto Maldonado is 9 hours away by bus or 1 hour away by plane from Cusco.
• The lodge is located 2 hrs 30 min. away from Puerto Maldonado on the Tambopata River.
• The average temperature is between 75°F and 88°F (24°C – 31°C). The tour is subject to
availability.

• The Tambopata reserve is home to 1 200 species of butterflies, 169 species of mammals,
around 632 species of birds, and hundreds of species of trees and plants.
• This reserve and the surrounding region is one of the most biodiverse places on the planet.
• Lake Cocococha: Lake Cocococha has an exceptional landscape beauty in the jungle. It has a
varied flora and fauna biodiversity, highlighting the presence of river otters, Pumagarzas, blue
and yellow macaw clay licks and black caymans in the lake.
• Lake 03 chimbadas: Its waters are dark green, ideal for observing wildlife, especially giant
otters and aquatic birds, and enjoying views of the lush vegetation that surrounds the shores.
• La Torre Lakes: Made up of Lakes Montes, Pato, Lagarto and Solitaria Collpa of mammals, this
Collpa is the last of a series of clay licks and we can often see Peccaries, Deer and even Tapirs.
• What is the difference between a 4-day/3-night and a 3-day/2-night tour?
On a 3-day / 2-night excursion you can do Lake 3 Chimbadas or Lake Cocococha or La
Torre Lakes.
On a 4-day / 3-night excursion you have the option of doing 02 of these 02 options.
• Is it possible to do the same tour, but in 3 days and 2 nights?
You can't do the same thing in three days because you wouldn't have enough time.
• What would the itinerary of 03 days and 02 nights be like?
Day 1:
• We pick you up from the airport or bus terminal.
• We take you to the office in Puerto Maldonado where you can leave your luggage in custody and take only what is necessary.
• We take you to the community of Infierno by private transportation (45 min).
• We board a boat to get to the hostel (1 hr 30 min) and eat lunch during the trip.

surrounds us. We’ll return at sunset.

• We take a 15-minute boat ride to reach a parrot clay lick.
• We return to the hostel for breakfast.
• We sail upstream for 2 hours to visit the Baltimore community, where we will have mud
baths, fish in the river, meet people from the area and eat lunch.
• In the afternoon we return to the Lodge and spend free time connecting with
nature.
• We eat dinner.
• We sail the boat on the Tambopata River and look for caymans at night.
Day 3:
• We eat breakfast.
• We say goodbye and return to the port in the community “Infierno”.
• We take you to our offices to collect the luggage you might have
left in custody.
• We take you to the airport.
• Strict: Cancel this tour 20 days before the start date of the tour and get a refund of 50%
of the sum paid. After that, we charge 100%.
