Make the most of your stay in Lima with this full-day trip to Paracas and explore La Huacachina, an oasis in the middle of the desert.
We will start our day early, traveling 4 hours towards Paracas. Here, you will visit the second most popular destination in Peru: the Ballestas Islands, a protected natural area located 30 minutes off the coast. You will witness an abundance of marine flora and fauna, including sea lions, birds, and the famous Humboldt penguins. This 1 hour and 30 minute boat tour will be truly fun and inspiring. After returning to the coast, you will travel by bus to Ica. There, you will visit a vineyard where Pisco, Peru's traditional drink used to make Pisco Sour, is produced. You will have the opportunity to taste this drink in its various forms.
In the afternoon, you will visit Huacachina, one of the most beautiful oases in the world, located in the middle of the Peruvian desert. This is a perfect setting for photography enthusiasts and for experiencing a unique natural wonder, as Huacachina is the largest oasis in Latin America.

Given that this is an adventurous experience with climbs, descents, and many jumps, the maximum recommended age is 65 years.
- Will I be able to swim with the sea lions?
Swimming with sea lions is not allowed, as the Ballestas Islands are a protected area. You cannot swim with the sea lions or walk on the islands, but you can navigate close to them by boat.
- On the way to the Ballestas Islands, you will see "El Candelabro," a gigantic geoglyph measuring 170 meters in the shape of a candlestick on the northern side of the Paracas Peninsula. In the past, sailors used El Candelabro as a landmark.
