Out of all our treks, the Inca Jungle tour is the most adventurous one.
You will explore different regions of Cusco practicing adventure sports and enjoying the nature of the route to the ruins of Machu Picchu.
A mixture of adrenaline and culture that will result in unique experiences. We will head toward the Sacred Valley to start your adventure with an exciting 34-mile bicycle ride (55 km) down the Abra Málaga. You will have the opportunity to practice rafting, ziplining and rest and relax in the famous thermal baths in Santa Teresa.
During your visit to Machu Picchu, you will discover the secrets and myths surrounding this Inca sanctuary. Seize the opportunity to reserve your spot to visit the Mountain or Huayna Picchu (coordinate it during the initial reservation).
Finally you can choose to return to Cusco by train or by bus via hydroelectric. An action-packed trek that will keep you amazed throughout the trip.

Day 1:
• We pick you up at the hotel lobby.
• You take the tourist bus toward Abra Málaga (approx. 3 h).
• We give you 1 bicycle and you get ready to start the route to Huamanmarca.
• We travel 34 mi. (55 km) by bicycle to the Archaeological Center of Huamanmarca (3 h).
• At the end of your bicycle trip, we will take you on a tourist transport to Santa María.
• You have lunch at the hostel in Santa Maria to replenish your energy.
• We drive you to the starting point of the rafting (20 min).
• Enjoy the rafting adventure on the Urubamba River (1 h). Included in your trek.
• You enjoy a delicious local dinner at the lodge and prepare to rest and be ready and energized for the next day.
Day 2:
• You eat a good breakfast in Santa Maria.
• We take you to the start of the trek through the jungle brow (15min).
• Hike to Santa Teresa, passing through remains of the Inca Trail (4 h).
• You enjoy a replenishing lunch in Quillomayo.
• We start the walk (1 h 30 min) to the thermal baths of Cocalmayo.
• You enjoy the thermal baths for 1 h 30 min.
• You end your journey arriving in Santa Teresa (20 min).
• We arrive at the Santa Teresa lodge in time for dinner.
• We spend the night at the lodge.
Day 3:
• You eat a good breakfast in Santa Teresa.
You choose between:
– Walk to Hydroelectric (3 hrs) or
– Zipline (optional extra, with transportation by car to Hidroelectrica).
• You eat a local lunch at Hidroelectrica.
• We start the walk toward Aguas Calientes (3 hrs).
• Once in Aguas Calientes, you head to your lodging to register.
• You will have free time to walk around the town of Aguas Calientes.
• The guide will meet with you to explain tomorrow's
activities.
• You eat dinner at a local restaurant and share your experiences.
• You spend the night at your lodging in Aguas Calientes.
Day 4:
• You reach the entrance to Machu Picchu choosing between 2 options:
– By bus (20 min, optional extra)
– Walking (1:30 h).
• You arrive at the Machu Picchu entrance where the guide waits for you.
• The bilingual guide will tell you the secrets and history of the ruins of Machu Picchu while you walk around its different stone areas and admire the landscapes (3 h).
• We visit the Mountain or Huayna Picchu (optional extra).
• You go back downhill to Aguas Calientes choosing between 2 options:
– Taking the bus (20 min, optional extra)
– Walking (approx. 1 hour).
• You start the walk back to Hidroelectrica (approx 3 hours).
• You return by private transportation from Hydroelectric to Cusco (7 hours). You also have the option of returning by train.
• You arrive in downtown Cusco.
• The night before the start of this adventure you will receive a detailed training for all the
activities that you will perform.
• A bilingual guide will accompany you throughout the tour.

You can go on the transport and then join the group that did the activity.
• Do I need a sleeping bag?
No, you don’t need one because lodges provide basic services.
• What can be seen in the Inca Jungle?
The change of nature between the Andes and the jungle is something unmissable. You will be able to walk through ancient Inca routes, cocoa and coffee plantations, visit Andean towns or walk along the railways toward Aguas Calientes
• Are extra activities like Zipline and river rafting included?

• What is the maximum number of people going on this trek?
There will be a maximum of 8 people per group.
• What time are we back from the trek?
If you return by bus, you will be back around 10:00 p.m, and if you return by train, around 6:30 p.m
• How is the weather on this trek?
You don’t need clothes that warm, because it is an area where the temperature goes from 64°F to 73°F (18°C to 23°C), unlike the Salkantay trek. However, a coat or jacket is always important.
• Is there a vegetarian option for meals?
Yes, and a vegan option too, just coordinate with us at the beginning of the tour.
• The entrance price to Machu Picchu, train and bus tickets to Machu Picchu vary depending on the nationality and age of the passengers.
• The climb up Huayna Picchu is considered one of the best short walks in the world and you climb it up ancient steps and Inca trails with an excellent view of the valley and mountains. The climb takes about 1 hour. Wayna Picchu is also known as the young mountain and it’s where the Temple of the Moon is located. The Huayna Picchu mountain is located north of Machu Picchu.
• The Abra Málaga as a descending route is related to the Megavalanche World Tournament. For 34 miles (55 km), you will quickly descend more than 3280 ft. (1000 m) running or at your own pace to discover hidden places on the Inca lands.
• The Machu Picchu mountain is also known as the old mountain and is higher than the Huayna
Picchu mountain. It is located south of Machu Picchu.
This mountain offers unique views of the entire Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu.
The climb takes about 2 hours. The path has a lot of vegetation, wild orchids and flatter trails.
